- Download the .brushset and put it where your iPad can read it (iCloud Drive, AirDrop, cable).
- On the iPad, open the Files app and tap the .brushset once.
- Choose Procreate when asked what to open it with. The set appears in the brush library.
Questions
- Does my brush file get uploaded anywhere?
- No. The converter runs entirely in this browser tab. Your .abr file is read from your device, converted in memory and offered back as a download. It is never sent to our servers or to anyone else.
- What goes in and what comes out?
- You choose a Photoshop brush pack in .abr format. You get back a single .brushset file, the brush-set container Procreate 5 and later import. One .abr produces one .brushset containing the pack's brushes.
- How do I get the .brushset onto my iPad?
- Download the .brushset on any device, then put it somewhere your iPad can reach — iCloud Drive, AirDrop or a cable copy all work. On the iPad, open the Files app, tap the .brushset once, and choose Procreate when asked what to open it with. Procreate imports the set and it appears in the brush library.
- Will the converted brushes behave exactly like they did in Photoshop?
- No, and no converter can promise that. Photoshop and Procreate use different brush engines, so a brush that depends on Photoshop-specific dynamics will paint differently after conversion. Brush shapes and the settings Procreate has an equivalent for come across; the rest is approximated.
- Why did my large pack fail to convert?
- The converter has a limit on how much brush-tip image data it will decode in a browser tab, and a pack above it is rejected after the pack has been read. The limit is on decoded tip data, not on the size of the .abr file, so there is no file size that is always accepted or always rejected. If a pack is refused, choose a smaller ABR pack.
- Can I convert just one brush out of a pack?
- Not yet. This version converts a whole .abr pack into one .brushset. You can delete the brushes you do not want inside Procreate after importing.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. There is nothing to install and no account to create. The converter is a web page; everything it needs is loaded the first time you pick a file.
